چکیده
Goal. Molecular identification of carriers the potato virus Y (PVY) resistance genes Rychc and Ryadg among lines Polissia Research Station Institute Potato Growing National Academy Agrarian Sciences Ukraine.
Methods. Seventy produced by were studied. We used molecular markers indicating presence specific Ry in genome lines. Those are responsible for plant’s response to pathogen extreme (ER) type: Ryo186 marker gene, RYSC-3 determination gene. The gene chc, derives from Solanum chacoense, S. tuberosum ssp. andigena. For determining PVY genes, PCR analysis was used, products analyzed electrophoresis an agarose gel supplemented with ethidium bromide visualize amplicons.
Results. Screening alleles Ruo186 showed that 53 (75.72%) carried Rychc. allele identified 7 (10%) using marker. Among sample, there three (4.2%) which simultaneously both genes: P.17.36-8, P.16.21-8, P.17.21/36. When compared studies other authors, our sample breeding we have mostly a similar percentage occurrence much higher frequency gene.
Conclusions. Thus, potential most strains, including PVYNTN strain.

Induction of Resistance to Potato Virus Y (PVY) Using Hairpin Construct of Coat Protein
Potato virus Y (PVY) is one of the most damaging viruses of potato plants which infecting most cultivars and causing significant yield and economical losses. The application of the concept of pathogen derived resistance opened new horizons for the development of virus-resistant plants. This research was carried out to study RNA silencing to engineered potato plants that are resistant to potato ...
متن کاملPathogen derived resistance to Potato virus Y: mechanisms and risks
Since the concept of pathogen derived resistance (PDR) was proposed in 1985, genetic transformation of plants to express virus-derived sequences has been used to engineer resistance to many viruses. This paper reviews PDR approaches to Potato virus Y (PVY, type member of the genus Potyvirus). PDR to viruses operates often through RNA-mediated resistance mechanisms that do not require protein ex...
متن کاملHeterologous Expression of Potato Virus Y Coat Protein, Isolate Pot187
Background: The advent of recombinant DNA technology has facilitated heterologous expression of proteins from various sources in different host systems including Escherichia coli. If a plant virus coat protein is expressed in the bacterium it can be used as the antigen for antibody preparation. Such a recombinant antigen preparation can be particularly useful where equipment such as ultracentri...

متن کاملInduction of resistance to potato virus Y strain NTN in potato plants through RNAi
Potato viruses cause enormous economic loss in agriculture production. Potatoes can be infected by a number of different viruses that affect negatively the harvest and the tuber quality. Direct and effective drugs against plant virus diseases are still not available and control is only applied as agricultural measures and pesticides against virus vectors. Potato virus Y (PVY) is transmitted by ...
